Supporting Shelter at Christmas

More than 300,000 people are waking up homeless in Britain, according to the housing and homelessness charity, Shelter.

In the most extensive review of its kind, last month Shelter combined official rough-sleeping, temporary accommodation and social services figures. This showed the number of homeless people in Britain has increased by 13,000 in a year. The charity states that as government records are not definitive, the true figure of homelessness is likely to be even higher.

No-one should be without a home at Christmas, so we have decided to support Shelter this year by donating money on behalf of our packaging compliance scheme members in return for their views on the service we provide them.

Frequent customer feedback is vital to the continuing success of our producer compliance schemes. It allows us to respond to the changing needs of our members and continually build on the support we provide those obligated under the WEEE and packaging regulations.

Our latest customer survey asked for feedback from our packaging compliance scheme members about the services we offer. In return, we made a pledge to donate £10 for each response we receive.

Packaging Compliance Account Manager, Martin Trigg-Knight, said: “We are proud of the support we give to our packaging compliance scheme members and continually strive for excellence in customer service. Satisfaction surveys help us to provide our members with an even better experience.

“We’ve had some excellent responses to this latest survey, and we look forward to sharing the results next month. Our packaging compliance scheme has experienced impressive growth this year and we have some exciting plans in 2018. The feedback from our members is helping to shape these, ensuring we place importance on the services that matter to them.”

Companies that handle packaging in the UK are subject to the Packaging Regulations. We work with these businesses, helping them to reduce their impact on the environment and ensuring they comply with current regulations.
