Our Commitment to Quality Recognised in ISO Transition

We are proud to announce that we have successfully transitioned to the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

Having maintained these ISO certifications since 2011, in the last twelve months we have been working towards the new version of the standards.

Our latest audit has now confirmed that we have met the requirements for these updated standards, which take into account the current environment and meet the needs of today’s business world.

The ISO certifications ensure that the products, services and processes that a company uses conforms to acceptable international standards; that they are safe, reliable and of good quality.

Businesses achieving the certification must conform to the standards and take part in a rigorous annual auditing process to assess the level at which they have met them.

ISO 9001:2015 is the Quality Management certification. It provides guidance and tools for companies and organisations who want to ensure that their products and services meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is continuously improved. The new standard of this certification takes into account increased globalisation, and gives more prominence to risk-based thinking, leadership engagement and supply chain management.

ISO 14001:2015 is the Environmental Management certification, which helps organisations to minimise the effect of their operations on the environment, to comply with applicable regulations, and to continually improve on these. The new standard expects environmental management to be more prominent within an organisation’s strategic direction, looks for greater commitment from leadership and requires businesses to proactively implement initiatives to protect the environment from harm.

Our dedicated team work hard throughout the year to ensure that we deliver the high standards of quality and service that is expected by our customers, and pride ourselves on our ability to continuously improve the performance of our operations. We achieve this whilst also maintaining our ethical, honest and customer-focussed ethos. The audit shows that we are closely monitoring our management systems, identifying and making continual improvements, safeguarding and benefitting all of those we work with.

We are delighted that our bespoke management system was recognised during the audit and were congratulated on how our business has transformed over the years.

Steve Hanaghan of TCG, who carried out our ISO audits, said: “Clarity has developed its management system in order to make it more bespoke to its business requirements and has done so to a very high standard and with excellent detail.”

In reviewing our WEEE and packaging compliance schemes, Steve Hanaghan also added that the operational processes we have in place to ensure our members comply with the regulations was “well managed.”

Our ISO accreditation demonstrates that we are a responsible and sustainable company who works to the highest standards and integrity. For our customers and suppliers, it provides peace of mind that we are committed to the continual improvement of our services, we work within a robust management framework, always consider the needs of our clients, and our activities have a positive impact on society and the environment.

Hayley Bosworth, Clarity Environmental’s Quality & Data Manager, said the business is delighted with the results of our work to achieve the new ISO standard:

“Our ISO accreditation is not just about the audit, but about the work we do throughout the year and the new standard is a huge improvement on the previous system. The risk analysis really helps direct us to make the right decisions and drive the business forward. We have made many developments and improvements to our systems in the last twelve months, which assist us in providing the best possible service to our customers.

“We are proud to be a good business that does good, which means ensuring we look after those who work for us, those we work with, and the world around us. The feedback we have received from the audit is testament to this commitment and our teams’ hard work to help our business achieve it.”

We have recently updated our quality policy, which sets out the approach for how we do business and outlines our commitment to continuously improving the services we provide. Take a look at our website to find out more.
