We are pleased to have successfully passed our 2019 audit for the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications. Having maintained our ISO accreditations since 2011, last year we achieved certification on a new version of the standards. Our latest audit, earlier this month, has once again confirmed that we have met the requirements for the updated standards.
The ISO certifications ensure that the products, services and processes that a company uses conforms to acceptable international standards; that they are safe, reliable and of good quality.
Businesses achieving the certification must conform to the standards and take part in a rigorous annual auditing process to assess the level at which they have met them.
Our dedicated team work hard throughout the year to ensure that we deliver the high standards of quality and service that is expected by our customers, and we pride ourselves on our ability to continuously improve the performance of our operations. We achieve this whilst also maintaining our ethical and customer-focussed ethos. The 2019 audit shows that we are closely monitoring our management systems, identifying and making continual improvements, safeguarding and benefitting all of those we work with.
The exceptional attention to detail, alongside the practical application of the requirements of the standard into our management systems, was commended by Steve Hanaghan of TCG, who has carried our ISO audits over the past 9 years. He said: “Excellent work has been undertaken regarding the risk and opportunities associated with the organisation’s activities. The organisation has always presented a good level of leadership and a full commitment to the requirements of the standards.”
ISO 9001:2015 is the Quality Management certification. It provides guidance and tools for companies and organisations who want to ensure that their products and services meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is continuously improved. The new standard of this certification takes into account increased globalisation, and gives more prominence to risk-based thinking, leadership engagement and supply chain management.
ISO 14001:2015 is the Environmental Management certification, which helps organisations to minimise the effect of their operations on the environment, to comply with applicable regulations, and to continually improve on these. The new standard expects environmental management to be more prominent within an organisation’s strategic direction, looks for greater commitment from leadership and requires businesses to proactively implement initiatives to protect the environment from harm.
Our ISO certifications demonstrate that we are a responsible and sustainable company who works to the highest standards and integrity. For our customers and suppliers, it provides peace of mind that we are committed to the continual improvement of our services, we work within a robust management framework, always consider the needs of our clients, and our activities have a positive impact on society and the environment.
Hayley Bosworth, Clarity Environmental’s Quality & Data Manager, said the business is delighted that our ISO audit has once again recognised the results of our work: “Our ISO accreditation is not just about the audit, but about the work that is done by our whole team throughout the year to demonstrate our commitment to continual improvement. We are proud of our certifications and of the work we do to develop our systems, which ensures our business continues to drive forward and provides the best possible service to our customers.”
Whilst we are delighted with the results of the ISO audit, direct feedback from our customers is vital and we encourage all of our customers to let us know what they think of our service.
