Clarity Streamlines Business With Packaging Compliance Name Change

Clarity Environmental has changed the name of its packaging compliance scheme. The scheme, which previously operated under the name ‘Clearpak’, is now called Clarity.

Managing Director, David Adams, said of the decision: “This is all part of a streamlining exercise. With our business expanding and the Clarity brand getting stronger, we can now offer our customers more services and support. With all of our divisions working closely together and with the same vision, it makes sense to have them operating under one name.”

Clarity Environmental is also looking at introducing some new developments to the packaging compliance scheme that will improve the benefits to its members. These include offering increased training and consultative support to members, identifying opportunities for members to reduce waste, and generate their own PRNs from waste streams. More importantly, as Clarity now handles greater volumes of waste packaging, it is able to offer further price stability as it takes ownership of the PRNs from partnerships with UK Reprocessors or via its own planned export routes.

David Adams continued: “We want to provide a service that goes above and beyond a standard scheme that solely trades PRN evidence. We’ve talked to our members and we know they want to get environmental compliance right but with the least amount of cost, resource, time and hassle as possible. We’ve been looking at a number of different options that will allow us to do that. We hope these developments will reduce the stress of compliance and increase the financial benefits of our scheme.”

The Environment Agency has been informed of the name change and the new name has been registered on the National Packaging Waste Database (NPWD).
