Clarity Environmental has announced the full integration of its WEEE compliance scheme. The scheme, previously a subsidiary of Clarity Environmental and called Econo-Weee, will now operate under the Clarity name.
Clarity Environmental was established in 2002, initially focusing on the sale of P(E)RNS. Econo-Compliance became a subsidiary of Clarity Environmental, who was a major shareholder, in 2010. Clarity Environmental has now purchased the remaining shares of Econo-Compliance.
All of Econo-Compliance’s business has been transferred to Clarity Environmental Limited and the WEEE compliance scheme has been fully integrated into the business alongside Clarity’s existing packaging and CRC compliance schemes.
Clarity’s Managing Director, David Adams, said of the move: “Our customers are behind every decision we make and the full integration of Econo-Weee into the Clarity business is no exception. Clarity has experienced rapid expansion over recent months and is growing into a well-recognised brand. We believe our members will benefit from being a part of a compliance scheme that is fully integrated within this business.”
Clarity’s WEEE compliance scheme is one of the fastest-growing compliance schemes in the UK. The scheme offers a full range of services to producers and business end-users, covering both B2B and B2C equipment within all categories of EEE.
David Adams continued: “Many of our members are interested, and need, more than just WEEE compliance. With a growing business offering a variety of environmental compliance, waste and recycling management services, this integration will allow all of our business divisions to work together fully, ensuring we can provide single-source solutions across all of the areas we work in.”
Aside from a different name, WEEE compliance members are unlikely to see any change to their membership and the service they receive will remain the same.
