Clarity Offers New Roles to Students

We have partnered with Brighton University to offer paid student placements to those studying in the science and environment faculty. Tom Hatch, our first student recruit, joined us in September and will spend 10 months working in our waste division.

We are delighted to be offering work placements through Brighton University and provide students with the opportunity to develop their capabilities, helping to prepare them for future work in the waste and resources sector.

Tom, who is currently studying a BSc in Geography at Brighton University, is working as a Resourcer within our waste to fuel team, helping to proactively identify new opportunities that will enable business growth. Tom will work with us full-time until July 2017. Work placements can help prepare students for future roles in the industry by developing their skills and experience. At Clarity we also recognise the benefit a student can provide to our business, bringing new skills, fresh ideas and a different perspective.

Chris Taylor, Commercial Manager at Clarity, said that we are keen to provide students with the chance to play a part in the ongoing growth of our business: “We want to offer opportunities to those who are passionate about the sector and Tom came to us with bags of enthusiasm, as well as experience in the industry. We are delighted that he has chosen to join our team and look forward to playing a part in developing his experience over the next year. We hope that his time with us will give his career a kick start once he’s finished his degree.”

Tom added: “I am really pleased to be joining such a modern, expanding and dynamic company. I am passionate about waste management and recycling and the industry is one that I want to be a part of after my education. This placement at Clarity is a great opportunity and I am excited about having the chance to practice and develop my skill set, increasemy understanding and apply my knowledge of waste management to a role.”

We are an evolving and thriving company, and are always keen for bright and talented people to join our team.
