Clarity Environmental Announced As ‘Employer of the Year’ Finalists

We are delighted to have been named as a finalist for the Employer of the Year award in the 2019 Brighton and Hove Business Awards.

Entries for the awards, which are now celebrating fourteen years, have been judged by a panel of local business experts.

All winners of the Brighton and Hove Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on 25 July 2019.

We are proud to have reached the shortlist of this year’s awards, which highlights the emphasis our business places on looking after the health, wellbeing and development of our team. We strongly believe that our people are our biggest asset and we strive to ensure that each one achieves great things, whilst also enjoying what they do, being rewarded for their efforts and making a difference.

Clarity Environmental Managing Director, David Honcoop, said of the news: “Looking after the wellbeing of your number one asset, and supporting their individual growth, can transform a business and we have seen a direct correlation between the increased emphasis on employee wellbeing and our business success. I am incredibly proud of our team’s achievements, which have helped to significantly grow our business in recent years.

“I am delighted that the steps we have taken to look after our staff have been recognised by the judges of the Brighton and Hove Business Awards, and we look forward to celebrating our achievements together on the night.”

The Clarity family works as a team and we involve our staff in the shaping of our future goals. We believe in providing a working environment that allows our people to grow, both professionally and personally, and one that makes them feel involved and valued. The benefits we give to our staff include a commitment to the London Living Wage, healthcare cover, a contributory pension scheme, and generous annual leave and retention bonuses. Our staff also get to take part in group exercise and yoga, as well as meditation training. We believe it is the little things that count, and we also reward our teams throughout the year with gestures such as staff awards, birthday vouchers, Easter eggs and champagne at Christmas.

On Thursday 27 June, our Comply with Clarity team will also find out if they are the winners of the MRW National Recycling Award ‘Team of the Year’. Being shortlisted for this industry award is a huge achievement for our packaging compliance team who work hard to achieve high-quality results for our members as well as for our business year on year. The awards bring together over 600 recycling and waste management professionals at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
