Clarity Celebrates Staff Achievements in 2018

Earlier this month, our annual staff awards ceremony celebrated the hard work and commitment that our teams have given to help us achieve so much in 2018. We are always immensely proud of the Clarity team, but this year has been a particularly successful one for our business and the individuals that work here.

Now in its third year, our staff awards event recognises and congratulates all of our team members for their achievements and successes throughout the year, as well as rewarding their commitment and loyalty to the business, with long service awards. It is not only a fun way to celebrate their efforts, but it also allows us to share successes and best practice across the business.

We are delighted to announce our 2018 winners.

Winners: Hayley Bosworth and Aiden Hill

Having maintained our ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications since 2011, this year we worked towards the new version of the standards that ensure our business delivers the highest standards of quality and service. Steering us through the rigorous auditing process was Hayley Bosworth, whose meticulous work to oversee our accreditations and general governance holds our business together and enables us to continuously improve the performance of our operations.

Joint winner of this award was Aiden Hill. Aiden has taken on increased responsibilities for finance this year and he now looks after our expanding operations team. Popular with both our staff and customers, Aiden has adapted to his new role with ease. His exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail have enabled the continued smooth running of our business.

Winner: Martin Trigg-Knight

Our Comply with Clarity packaging compliance scheme experienced impressive growth this year, with a 47 per cent increase in our scheme members for the 2018 compliance year, resulting in an 89 per cent increase of obligated tonnage. Martin has managed the scheme since 2014 and his in-depth knowledge of the sector, together with his efforts to give our members an exceptional service that is designed for their business, Martin not only ensures that our current members are happy to comply with us year on year, but we are also seeing many more businesses joining our scheme for 2019. We look forward to welcoming these new members to our scheme for the new compliance year.

Winner: Ian Roberts

Our customers are at the heart of our business and we continuously strive to tailor our services to meet individual needs, and deliver a service that is of the highest quality and offers value for money.  For this reason, we put high emphasis on our teams’ account management skills. Winning the award this year is battery trader, Ian Roberts. With a natural ability to develop positive and long-standing business relationships with his customers, Ian has enabled the continued growth of our battery division, whilst also ensuring we provide the most efficient and cost-effective service possible.

Winner: Will

Will joined Clarity in August and hit the ground running, supporting our compliance division during some of the busiest months of the year. Will has very quickly grasped our business and the support we provide to businesses that need to comply with the Producer Responsibility Regulations. He has already proven to be a huge asset to our team, helping to introduce our packaging and WEEE Comply with Clarity schemes to new businesses across many sectors.

Winner: Edd Heyne

Edd has made a huge impact to our business in the first year he has been with us. A popular member of the team, Edd’s work to develop our social media profiles and support our Clarity Cares donations and partnerships made him a worthy winner of the Team member of the year award. An enthusiastic and conscientious team member, Edd has thrown himself into his role and found new ways to support our business.

Ian Roberts: As our business grows, we want our staff to grow with us. Retaining expertise is important to ensure the success of a business and we are proud to have an experienced team. Our staff awards event gives us the opportunity to recognise those that show ongoing commitment and loyalty to the business. This years long service award was given to our battery trader, Ian Roberts, who joined us in 2013.

I hope you will join us in congratulating our 2018 staff award winners.
