Clarity Celebrates Staff Achievements in 2017

It has been another successful year for us at Clarity, and last week our annual staff awards ceremony celebrated the hard work and commitment shown by our team to the business in 2017.

Now in its second year, our staff awards event recognises and congratulates all of our team members for their achievements and successes throughout the year, as well as rewarding commitment and loyalty to the business, with our long service awards.

We are very proud of the team that make up the Clarity family and once again they have worked hard to ensure our business goes from strength to strength. Hosting a staff awards ceremony is a fun but important way to celebrate their efforts and allows us to share successes and best practice across the business.

Here are just some of our winners.

Winner: Martin Trigg-Knight

We are immensely proud of the commitment that each member of our team gives to customer service. Martin account manages our packaging compliance scheme and never fails to put our customers at the heart of the scheme. We were delighted with the feedback received from one of our members, who, in praising Martin, said “We know we are with the right people”, and which won him the Feedback of the Year award.

Winner: Sam Caplen

Sam joined Clarity at the start of the year and hit the ground running, supporting the PRN trading division during the busiest month of the year. Although new to the sector, Sam quickly grasped our business and has proven to be a huge asset to our team in 2017, helping to grow the membership of both our packaging and WEEE compliance schemes for the coming year.

Winner: Aiden Hill

Operations is vital for the smooth running of our business, and Aiden was a clear winner for our 2017 team member of the year. Aiden joined us in January 2014 as a Junior Trader. Just a year later, having gained experience across the Clarity divisions, he took on his current role, overseeing the day to day operation of our logistics activity, including both domestic and international movements of RDF and lead-acid batteries.

A popular member of our team, both with colleagues, customers and suppliers, Aiden’s organisational skills and commitment to our business, alongside his friendly and helpful manner, made him a worthy winner.

Other winners were Lucy Brooks, Communications Manager for Performance of the Year, Daniel Fullylove for RWM Award 2017, Martin Trigg-Knight for Performance of the Year (sales) and joint winners Ian Roberts and Vikkie Fitzgerald for Account Manager of the Year.

As our business grows, we want our staff to grow with us. Retaining expertise is important to ensure the success of a business and we are proud to have an experienced team. Our staff awards event gives us the opportunity to recognise those that show ongoing commitment and loyalty to the business.

This year long service awards were given to Quality Manager, Hayley Bosworth, who joined us as an administrator in 2007. In ten years, Hayley has seen the business develop and diversify, and is a fundamental part of our team today. Now managing our ISO accreditation, Hayley develops and oversees our policies and procedures to ensure our business is run to the highest standards.

Communications Manager, Lucy Brooks, received a five year service award. Lucy looks after our marketing and communications function, developing our brand and producing a newsletter that helps to keep our business suppliers and customers abreast of industry news, as well as developments in our business.

I hope you will join us in congratulating our 2017 staff award winners, as well as those given long-service awards.
