Today is the third Monday of January. Known as Blue Monday, it is supposedly the most depressing day of the year.
The term was created by a holiday company eleven years ago and was based using a calculation involving factors such as the number of days since pay day, current weather conditions and daylight hours. Whilst it was not derived from any in-depth research or science, the term has stuck ever since.
To help beat the January blues, experts recommend that we remind ourselves of the reasons to be cheerful, and in an effort to do our bit, here are three little reminders of why our waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) compliance members can be a little happier today.
