Clarity to host series of webinars on EPR consultation

Clarity Environmental will be hosting the first in a series of webinars on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), beginning on Friday 16^th April 2021, at 10am.

The webinars will give producers and other stakeholders an overview of the second round of consultations on EPR, released by the government on 24^th March 2021.

The first webinar will be hosted by Martin Trigg-Knight, Head of Compliance and Charlotte Briggs, Policy and Engagement Lead, and will include:

An introduction to the consultation

Overview of the key areas for packaging producers with reference to the sections and questions laid out

Timeline of the phased introduction and what will be expected of producers in the various phases

Impact Assessment and proposed costs for producers

Data requirements and forecasting for your businesses compliance

As the deadline to respond is only 10 weeks, we are urging as many producers as possible to consider the consultation and questions proposed as soon as possible. This will be the final opportunity for stakeholders to feedback any concerns or insight to the proposed legislations. As the changes will likely see significant cost implications as well as added administration and data requirements an understanding of how this may affect your business is crucial.
